Poplar House provides an inpatient assessment and treatment service for adults with a learning disability who have additional mental health needs, including challenging behaviour. It works as part of a wider system of learning disability services in Norfolk.
Poplar House has 12 assessment and treatment beds in one building.
All of the accommodation is on the ground floor, with a conference room and staff room on the first floor of the reception block.
The 12 beds are used flexibly to meet the needs of those individuals who require inpatient assessment and treatment, for example where particular gender issues may need to be taken into account.
