A strategy helps us to make decisions and develop plans for improving our services. It will also help to explain our intentions to others and support any changes we make. Eric Shepherd Forensic Services

The Eric Shepherd Forensic Services (ESFS) comprises two facilities - Medium Secure Services at Warren Court and Low Secure Services at 4 Bowlers Green

Learning Disability SRS (Specialist Residential Services) - SRS provide medium to long term care for adults with LD who have complex needs often including one or more of the following:  challenging behaviour;  autism;  sensory disorder.

Norfolk Services

Inpatient Medium Secure Services and step down facilities are provided for men with learning disability at the Broadland Clinic, Little Plumstead, near Norwich. The Trust also provides Learning Disability Psychiatry which works alongside the Community Teams run by Norfolk Learning Difficulties Service.

Assessment & Treatment Services are provided for adults with learning disability at the Poplar Unit, Little Plumstead, near Norfolk.

North Essex Services - Specialist Learning Disability Services

This is a specialist service for a wide range of service users including those with profound and complex needs.We also train other professionals and staff, including doctors and nurses, in how to communicate with and support people who have learning disabilities.

Community Learning Disability teams are based across North, Mid and West Essex. We also provide an intensive inpatient assessment and treatment service in Colchester as well as a Home assessment and treatment Services across the three localities, supporting people with challenging behaviours or mental health needs to be assessed and treated at home where ever possible.

The learning disability services also work in partnership with North Essex Mental Health Partnership Trust to support people with learning disabilities to receive appropriate mental health care.

The Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) who work as part of the multi disciplinary team, are managed by the North East Essex Primary Care Trust (http://www.northeastessexpct.nhs.uk/)
