Working for Us
Some benefits of working for Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Hertfordshire is located just to the north of London. As well as benefiting from the close proximity of the capital, Hertfordshire also borders the counties of Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex. Nearly two-thirds of Hertfordshires rural area is designated Green Belt. Picturesque woodland, river valleys and open farmland make up an attractive landscape.
Hertfordshire has just over one million residents, most of whom live in small to medium sized towns and a large number of scattered villages. The countys towns mix the ancient and historic such as St Albans and Hertford with the new towns, such as Stevenage and Hemel Hempstead, and the garden cities of Letchworth and Welwyn Garden City.
Most of the county has excellent connections to London and the rest of the UK. There are three major roads going NorthSouth (the M1, the A1 and the A10). In addition the M25 passes through the south of Hertfordshire. Train services are also excellent, with the journey times such as St Albans to St Pancras in 20 minutes, and Stevenage to Kings Cross in 25 minutes.
